QI was only asked a couple questions in my interview (i.e. why dentistry? do you want to specialize?). The other half hour was spent listening to my interviewer tell me all about Penn and Philadelphia and how great it is.

💡Penn interviews tend to focus a lot on mission fit and critical thinking - be ready for questions that ask you to reflect on your experiences
💡Penn is a great school if you want to specialize, and you will have to work harder at Penn than at other schools
💡If you want to be a general dentist, then Penn might not be worth all the hassle since you might get a better education elsewhere
💡Be yourself and don't try to deliberately impress the interviewer
💡If you're there, they like you. be receptive to how great this place is and everything it has to offer you!
💡The interview was very laid back and the school is great overall. Don't panic if you are being interviewed by only one person in comparison to a dean of admissions and some other professor together. It didn't matter at the end as I got admissions to the school with only one interviewer. They give you an hour of a "free" time to go and explore the campus- I did it and think it was a great experience. Plus just as a general info, I would recommend Priceline to book a hotel as I payed $80 for a 4 star hotel
💡Stay at the Sheraton! cheap Penn rate (119$) and so close to the dental school
