💡Don't over prepare
💡Be yourself and truly know why you want to be a dental professional
💡Don't be afraid to ask a bunch of questions to current students. They WANT to help you!
💡Don't worry about the writing sample question...just write
💡Case scenario isn't bad at all, actually had fun with it. Just be able to support your own opinions
💡Don't worry about the writing sample. Just make sure to get a good night's sleep before this interview
💡The writing sample is 10 minutes long and it was an easy question. They specifically check for your writing skills and not really what the topic is
💡The case scenario is with the Director of Admissions, Dr. Brown, and he was very nice. You have to think on your feet, but there's really no right or wrong answer. He's just trying to gauge your ability to form an opinion on the fly
💡The actual interview was conducted by a faculty member and two 4th year students on the admissions committee. It was really laid back and comfortable
💡There are two different interviews: one 10 minute discussion with the dean of admission about an ethical situation in dentistry and one 20 minute interview with a faculty member and 4th year student. Both interviews are extremely laid back and more like a conversation than anything
